Game Time
We present a community project, "Game Time," that makes the spoken English language accessible to the children of the city. The Treehouse operates a weekly informal language education in its facilities in Beersheva. We operate in an “Open Space” out of which the children of the South can participate in an immersive, fun, and engaging English language experience. Game Time is presented similarly to a break at a school in an English speaking country, through free play, songs, crafts and group activities.
The sessions are conducted entirely in English by our Native English speaking teachers and volunteers, who teach through play and encourage participants to speak, listen, and venture outside of their linguistic comfort zones.
The programming takes place exclusively in English, without translation to and from Hebrew, and hence it is open to all mother tongues.
Game Time is accessible because it is a high quality program held at a discounted rate and it does not require yearlong commitment. It is recommended to join Game Time in addition to yearlong classes to maximize the immersive experience of English acquisition.
Game Time is open for children 4-14 years old. The sessions are held weekly in Schuna Bet in Beersheva on Wednesdays The programming begins and ends with a concentrated meeting of all participants for introductions and conclusions. Payment is only 45 shekels per meeting and you must preregister.
Game Time will be at 16:15-17:30 for children 4-9 years old and from 17:45-19:00 for children 10-14 years old.
